Pearl Earring
Pearl Earring is my sculptural interpretation of Johannes Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring. Having seen this painting up close at the Mauritshuis in The Hague a few years ago, I was mesmerized. He really is the "Master of Light". As usual, this was not a planned piece; it was only after bringing the two halves together the rest instinctively formed.
